Whian Whian Public School is a PP6 situated 26kms North East of Lismore. It is a rural area and the community is made up of families on small holdings including multiple occupancies.
The curriculum aims to provide: a balanced and valuable education for all students K-6 where each child is given the opportunity to experience the highest levels of expertise, resources and social opportunity available; all students with a broad and balanced curriculum with an emphasis on literacy and numeracy; special programs in the area of environmental education, drama, art, music, sport and computer education; all students with the encouragement to progress at their individual level according to their needs; a safe and happy environment in which to work and play; and opportunities for the community and school to continue to support the unique learning environment.
